The Keith Edmonds Foundation brings together children of abuse and neglect once a month for a day filled with uplifting activities. The time they share with their fellow peers and mentors help these victims transform into the ultimate thriver. Every donation towards this program allows these children to grow in their confidence!
Shine The Light
Join us for our annual Shine the Light community event. There will be free food, free giveaways, corn hole competitions, and carnival style games for the kids! Local high school students will be competing in attendance for the Joshua Osborne Award. Josh was a student here in Wilson County who was a victim of abuse. Help us Shine the Light in our community!
Saturday April, 2020 from 10AM-2PM
Our 4th Annual Camp Confidence will be here in July of 2020! Children who have been abused and neglected live a life of constant worry, confusion, and heart break. Camp Confidence allows these children to let go of their stress and do what kids do best – be a kid! Your generous donation can send a child to camp this year.
Empowering 1 Million Child Abuse Victims
BY HELPING TRANSITION VICTIMS TO SURVIVORS TO THRIVERS
“Of all of the volunteer work I have done, none has been more fulfilling than working with the Keith Edmonds foundation. The kids they help are our future and letting them know that there are still good people in the world that care about them and can be trusted is a huge deal! Camp confidence was a life-changing experience not just for the kids but for the volunteers. To see those kids enjoying themselves and forgetting about their problems for a while is just a fantastic feeling. I can’t wait for next year.” - Bethany
“So many people are affected by child abuse each and every day and never have the voice to speak up. I hope, by being involved with The Keith Edmonds Foundation, to help people have that voice!” -Dawn
"I am a proud supporter/volunteer for the Keith Edmonds Foundation because of their mission; to empower one million child abuse victims. It’s more rewarding than you can imagine to stand beside a group whose goal is to give children a voice, normally the least heard segment of abuse victims. As a volunteer at Camp Confidence it was incredible to see the transformation of the children from the first morning to the last afternoon. These kids have experienced more adversity in their young lives than most do in a lifetime. Camp Confidence provided an opportunity where kids could be just that, kids! We were able to watch them come out of their shells and forgot about everything else for a few days. Volunteering was long and tiresome but I won’t miss it for the world!" - James
“I support the Keith Edmonds Foundation, because I believe Keith Edmonds can change the world! For someone who has overcome so much physical and emotional abuse as a child himself, Keith has become a poster child for not only being a survivor, but a thriver! He connects with children on a level that only a survivor can. His passion and energy to fight for children is infectious. Every child deserves to be protected and safe. For those who aren’t, Keith Edmonds is their super hero, fighting to save them!” -Lisa
“I really enjoy helping with the fundraisers for the Keith Edmonds Foundation. But helping at Camp Confidence is by far my favorite experience! Whatever it is that those kids have heard about this foundation let them know that they were safe there with us. They were eager to bond with the volunteers and have a great carefree time. This was by far the most rewarding experience of my life! I can’t wait to see the kids at camp again next July!” -Adryan
